New stocks have been coming in, but customers can expect to only collect their new phones after placing reservation.
Telcos: New stocks coming in
The iPhone 4, which saw its Singapore launch on 30 July, had sold out quickly. StarHub said that its first batch of the smartphones was sold out in one and a half days after launch. However, telcos are saying that new stocks have been coming in.
A SingTel spokesperson said that the telco is contacting customers who have already placed orders for the iPhone 4, while taking in new requests. But sales of the iPhone 4 will not be cash and carry. Customers can expect to collect their iPhones only after the telco contacts them.
Those who have made reservations with M1 can also expect the telco to give them priority in collecting their handsets first. A spokesperson for the telco said that it will be able to cater to other customers when more stocks are available.
StarHub has also confirmed that it received new stocks of the iPhone 4 in early August.
Apple is also offering all Singapore users a free iPhone 4 Bumper case if they purchase the smartphone before 30 September.
Users can visit Apple's website (http://www.apple.com/sg/iphone/case-program/) for instructions to proceed with the redemption.
