SINGAPORE - He had sex with his 13-year-old schoolmate who was also his girlfriend, forced her to perform oral sex on him, then filmed and posted the video online without her knowledge.

Yesterday, the then 14-year-old male student, was spared reformative training and given a total of 21 months' probation instead.

Neither the accused nor the victim can be named to protect the girl's identity.

The male student, now 17, is from a polytechnic. He was ordered to be electronically tagged for the first four months and supervised for the remaining 17 months.

He has to remain indoors from 10pm to 6am and do 150 hours of community work.

His parents were ordered to sign a bond of $8,000 to ensure his good behaviour. They also have to monitor his Internet usage, with the help of a probation officer.

The teen had pleaded guilty earlier this year to 21 counts of having sex with a girl below 16, insulting her modesty, criminal intimidation, possession of obscene video clips and theft of two bicycles.
