PHILIPS, a giant consumer-appliance maker, is usually not noted for its computer products. Yet it has come up with two interesting accessories for the PC.
One is a cushion speaker (above) meant for those who like to sit on the couch and surf the Net with the PC on their lap. The soft beanbag cushion not only shields the user from the heat generated by the PC but also acts as stereo speakers, offering better sound for movie watching or listening to music.
The second product is a clip-on soundbar (right). It sits on top of the screen of a laptop or desktop and works with a single USB plug-in connection. This is a useful accessory in that it saves space and is not difficult to lug around, unlike other portable PC speakers with wired attachments.
